The Concorde Wheelchair Dancers Want You!

Concorde Wheelchair Dancers logoMaybe you've been inspired by the BBC3 series 'Dancing on Wheels', currently gracing our TV screens - or maybe you've always wanted to enjoy the fun, exercise and competition of wheelchair dancing. The Concordes are based in Bristol, UK, and have been wheelchair dancing for 30 years. With our team of wheelchair users and able-bodied dance partners, we've danced in team-based formation ballroom, couples dances, combination dance (as seen in 'Dancing on Wheels') and even individual freestyle... something for everyone. And whatever your age or disability, if you're interested in giving wheelchair dancing a go, the Concordes want to hear from you! Email us, or phone our chair person, Julia, on 0117 300 9615.

The Concordes hold practice sessions every Monday evening (except Bank Holidays) from 7.30 to 9.30pm at Page Hall, Staple Hill, Bristol. Why not pop along and see what we do? We have members aged 8 to 80, with a large range of disabilities, and are by no means all super-strong athletes - because wheelchair dance is for everyone, all you need is the ability to propel your own chair, whether manual or electric, and the desire to have fun and dance!

wheelchairdance.co.uk is relaunching again soon with a new look, but for now, you can read more about the Concordes by continuing to our main website...
